Hamelin Station Stay is closed to the public

Bush Heritage operates the Hamelin Outback Station Stay as part of our management of Hamelin Reserve. Hamelin welcomes a significant number of researchers, volunteers, supporters and tourists every year. After reviewing how we balance the needs of our staff and science community with public bookings, and availability of seasonal workers to support the daily operations of the station stay, we have decided to close Hamelin Outback Station Stay to the public.

If you need to book accommodation in the area now, we suggest contacting the Hamelin Pool Caravan Park next door on phone (08) 9942 5905 or reach out to Shark Bay Tourism office.

Hamelin Station is on the shores of the Shark Bay World Heritage area, only 5 km from Hamelin Pool, site of those extraordinary living fossils the stromatolites. Close by are the dolphins of Monkey Mia, Francois Peron National Park, and Steep Point, the most westerly point in Australia. The station is 31 km from the Overlander Roadhouse on Shark Bay Road.
