Hamelin Station Stay is currently closed for bookings.

Bush Heritage operates the Hamelin Outback Station Stay as part of our management of Hamelin Reserve. Hamelin welcomes a significant number of researchers, volunteers, supporters and tourists every year. We are currently reviewing how we balance the needs of our staff and science community with public bookings, and availability of seasonal workers to support the daily operations of the station stay.

Hamelin Outback Station Stay is currently closed until July 1, 2024.

We will be in touch with all those who have already made bookings between now and 30 June 2024. By mid-March 2024, we will be able to provide an update on bookings past that date.

If you need to book accommodation in the area now, we suggest contacting the Hamelin Pool Caravan Park next door on phone (08) 9942 5905 or reach out to Shark Bay Tourism office.

Station Stay Accommodation

Stay in our stunningly restored shearers quarters – historic and rustic on the outside, modern, clean and beautifully maintained on the inside – with a range of different room options to suit your needs.

The large modern showers and toilets, with disabled access, are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. Guests enjoy unfettered use of the fully equipped shearers kitchen, dining and barbecue area.

Current pricing

Shearer's Quarters accommodation:
from $90/night

Unpowered sites:
$20/person, $10 children under 17

Temporary Boat or Van storage:
only available following 2 consecutive nights accommodation with us

Please note there is a minimum 2 night stay for all rooms and sites

Caravan and camping sites

A range of excellent unpowered sites are set amid our beautiful semi-arid landscape, with natural bush corridors surrounding the sites. Hamelin Station can cater for the largest caravans, five-wheelers, motor homes and camper vans, as well as those who only require a site to pitch a tent.

Only 1 km off the main road, Hamelin Station provides easy access for any vehicle.

The large modern shower and toilet, with disabled access, are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards. 

Sorry no pets on this conservation reserve. We like to protect our local wildlife.
